Active in Western Colorado, Valley Food Partnership serves as an intersection of local agriculture, food, the economy, and health. Our mission is simple: to connect local agriculture to local people. We envision a resilient regional food system that sustains the land, producers, and healthy communities. We accomplish this in a variety of ways: providing education, support access, and making connections.
Project examples include Cultivating Farmers and Ranchers that Thrive (a beginning farmer, rancher development program), Montrose Farmers’ Market, Local Farmacy Rx (a nutrition education and produce incentive program with local food incentives), the Western Colorado Soil Health, Food, and Farm Forum. Check out the Lovin’ Local Food Guide to find fresh local food and help us build a secure, vibrant food system.
