The Austin Family Farm, located near Paonia, focuses on nurturing the soil in order to produce crops that maintain a healthy environment. Our philosophy is: healthy soils produce healthy plants, that produce healthy animals, that produce healthy people. We believe for better health, it is important for you to know who grows your food, how and where it is produced.
The original planting of our orchards in 1992 included 7000 trees: Apples, peaches, plums, cherries, nectarines and apricots. Since then, we have planted blackberries, raspberries and grapes. Also, we have added honey, eggs, meat chickens, and beef.
