The Valley Organic Growers Association
We are a non-profit membership organization located in the North Fork Valley. Our members live on the Western Slope of Colorado.
Mission
The Mission of Valley Organic Growers Association is to promote local sustainable agriculture by supporting and educating producers and consumers.

Guiding Principles
- Create and support local agriculture that is aligned with our Vision and Mission.
- Maintain and improve the health of soil, air, and water, producers and community.
- Commit to working towards organic standards.

Vision
We envision a vibrant community of prosperous, local farms that sustain and benefit the land by providing healthy agricultural products.
History
VOGA was founded in 1992 in the beautiful North Fork Valley of the Gunnison River, Colorado. We support the largest concentration of organic, sustainable growers in the state. VOGA was formed to network growers, educate consumers and promote the benefits of sustainable agriculture that provides fresh, regionally unique products to the consumer.
Our membership has grown to include small and mid-size growers, ranchers, retailers and individuals who support our vision.
Organizational Structure
VOGA is a 501(c)5 membership organization and is linked with its 501(c)3 sister organization, Valley Organic Growers Educational Alliance (VOGEA). VOGA has a Board of Directors that serves 3-year terms, is elected by the membership and involved heavily in planning VOGA activities. The Board also is responsible for publishing the Directory.
